Organist Andreas Marquardt presents an afternoon spanning four centuries of Central European organ music on the Richards, Fowkes op. 14 organ. Born into a family of church musicians in Thuringia, Marquardt is sought after internationally, with recitals at major European venues on his schedule. His program journeys from the early German composers Scheidt, Lübeck, and Bach to the Romantic voices of Mendelssohn and Clara Schumann, closing with the powerful music of Czech composer Petr Eben.
