Workshop on Glory to God hymnal with Charles Frost

Charles Frost, the President-Elect of the Hymn Society in the United States and Canada and one of the editors of the most recent Presbyterian hymnal Glory to God, will give an overview of the process of creating this hymnal. He will share how hymns are grouped together and will comment on the supplemental resources for the hymnal. Joined by the Pinnacle Chancel Choir and Pinnacle musicians, this is going to be a hands-on exploration of our current hymnody.

Workshop on Music of Florence Beatrice Price with Calvert Johnson

Calvert Johnson will present a workshop on chamber, vocal, piano, and organ music by one of the foremost African-American composers of the 20th century, Florence Beatrice Price. Supported by Pinnacle musicians and open to the community, this will be both a lecture and a hands-on workshop for musicians and all interested in discovering more about the music of this important composer. Johnson is Professor Emeritus of Music at Agnes Scott College in Georgia, an international concert artist, and a published scholar.
